Window Layout?

Featured Replies

Why are the Window Options not saved in a "New" Window layout?  Example: I save several options (text size, line color,  text background, line size etc) in the map, and save as a new Window layout, then change to a different layout and all of the same options are saved in the 'other' layout as well plus all other layouts I have saved!  Is it possible to have different options in different Window Layouts rather than all the same options in ALL layouts?

Thanks for any and all responses!

Thank you Sir for the quick response and answer!  It would be nice to be able to save different window layouts with the different options though!  This program is so powerful that it seems that could be an option!  Even without that option it is a great tool and is used daily by me and the VA I fly with (DC-3 Airways)!  So thank you so much for this great little but powerful tool!

You're welcome and thank you for your kind words.🙂

I'm thinking about display profiles which combine different settings in the view menu but this is still far away. I'd not combine settings with the layout.

BTW: If you really would like to have different instances of LNM with different settings and databases you can use the command line options. Here is an example: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/latest/en/INSTALLATION.html#multiple-installations

Thanks again Alex,

Display profiles sounds like a great addition to LNM, and I can certainly wait for it, but in the meantime I do think that I will give your second option a try for now, thanks for that tip also, beneficial in more ways than just the one I'm looking for!
