August 2, 20241 yr I'm trying to simulate a part 135 single pilot operator. If a company owns a Cessna Longitude (it requires 2 pilots, if I'm not mistaken) and they supply the SIC could they hire me as a contract pilot to be PIC? (with me being a part 135 single pilot operator?) I should also note that the Longitude is setup with 8 pax seats. to keep it at "9 seats or less" Edited August 2, 20241 yr by briansommers The words. August 2, 20241 yr Yes, you could be hired as a contract pilot as a PIC. In fact, that's the way to go. Either run your plan to fly with different peeps as a contract pilot or roll with a jet management company where you post your availability and they link you to fly. It's the best way to do it and still control your life schedule. Other wise you are flying and working on someone else's time and schedule. You just have to maintain your type and 61.58 check. Easier if the jet management company helps with maintaining those. Edited August 2, 20241 yr by G550flyer test Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
