August 7, 20241 yr Hello, I recently tried to do a flight from KSFO to KLAX. I made the flight plan, chose my starting gate at KSFO and saved it so I could load it with the P3D flight planner. When the flight loaded, it parked my aircraft in the middle of the runway, I then realized it did that because the parking gate I chose does not exist in the sim. It seems LNM is showing an airport layout for KSFO that does not exist. In LNM it shows KSFO as an addon airport (with the yellow ring around it) but I do not have an addon version of KSFO so I don't understand how that could be, unless it's an airport that was updated by Orbx (I have Pacific Northwest which covers KSFO area and I have many other Orbx sceneries as well). I tried running the database scanner again to see if that would fix the issue but it didn't help. I'm not sure what else to do to fix this. I would greatly appreciate any help, Thanks Edited August 7, 20241 yr by Zylx Specs: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon board, Ryzen 5800X CPU, 3600Mhz Corsair RAM, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT GPU Favorite Sims: FSX:SE, P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 11 & 12
August 7, 20241 yr LNM shows the stock layout of KSFO. Either the add-on was not detected by LNM or it is protected by a DRM scheme. What does window "Information" -> tab "Airport" -> tab "Overview" -> section "Data Source" say? Is your add-on airport included? You can simply copy and paste the section here. Did you reload the LNM scenery library after installing the add-on? It's a bit hard to diagnose without the add-on. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
August 7, 20241 yr Author You misunderstand, the thing is, is that I do not have an addon airport installed for KSFO yet on the map it shows that it is an addon airport (with the yellow ring around it), or at least a different airport then the one that loaded when I loaded the flight. The Data Source path is this: D:\Prepar3D V5\Scenery\0102\scenery\APX15180.bgl That's a default path for P3D isn't it? I'm very confused Edited August 7, 20241 yr by Zylx Specs: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon board, Ryzen 5800X CPU, 3600Mhz Corsair RAM, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT GPU Favorite Sims: FSX:SE, P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 11 & 12
August 7, 20241 yr Yep. Confusing. Really. No idea what's going on there. Can you load the scenery library again and then send me an issue report (menu Tools -> Create Issue Report). Then send this to me: https://www.littlenavmap.org/contact.html Maybe I can see something in the log. Remove the paths from the options page "Scenery Library Database" before. Do not add additional paths. LNM should find stuff automatically. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
August 7, 20241 yr Author I just wanted to add that I realized I did not have the latest version of LNM so I updated and then ran the library database scanner again and it is still showing the same incorrect layout for KFSO. Specs: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon board, Ryzen 5800X CPU, 3600Mhz Corsair RAM, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT GPU Favorite Sims: FSX:SE, P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 11 & 12
August 8, 20241 yr Thank you again for the report. 👍 LNM recognizes "D:\Prepar3D V5" as the base path and the sceneryCfg here "C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Scenery.CFG". Looking ok so far. There are two add-ons on top of KSFO which might change the airport layout more or less. Therefore the yellow ring. The layout should not be stock but reflect the add-on. Data Sources 0102 Base ...\Prepar3D V5\Scenery\0102\scenery\APX15180.bgl FTX_NA_NCA05_SCENERY ...\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_NCA05_SCENERY\scenery\ADEX_FTX_NCA_KSFO_San_Francisco_Intl.bgl Custom scenery path 3 ...\Prepar3D V5\Scenery Rikoooo\Edwards Air Force Base KEDW Photoreal\edwards_air_force_base_kedw_photoreal\scenery\KSFO_asbuilt_v1.bgl I see LNM also loading these in the log files. "ADEX_FTX_NCA_KSFO_San_Francisco_Intl.bgl" and both "KSFO_asbuilt_v1.bgl" in the KEDW scenery contain parts of KSFO. "Custom scenery path 3" is a manually added path in LNM options. This is read by LNM, but not by the simulator, not sure, but anyway. There is also "ADEX_FTX_NCA_KSFO_San_Francisco_Intl.bgl" on top of the stock airport. ORBX often does small corrections to the airport like elevation. You probably want to exclude the ORBX scenery from loading or add-on recognition if it does such small changes which do not qualify as an add-on. What to do now: Enable "read prepar3d add-on.xml" and *maybe* "Read inactive ..." in the scenery library loading dialog. Remove the custom path in options. LNM should normally find all add-ons automatically. If not, let me know. Add the Orbx path to be excluded from add-on recognition (lower box in options) This should result in LNM showing the stock airport layout and no yellow ring after reloading. Sorry if things are complicated. The FSX, P3D and MSFS scenery libraries are an over-complicated mess. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
August 11, 20241 yr Author Okay thank you so much for looking into this for me, I really appreciate it. That is really strange to me that the Edwards AFB addon I have also modifies KFSO? Am I reading that custom scenery path 3 right? I will try out the steps you laid out for me and I'll see how it goes. LNM is not finding all of my scenery add-ons which is why I add the custom paths. I see you just released another LNM version so I will update again, maybe that will help too. Thanks again for you time Alex. August 11, 20241 yr Just now, Zylx said: That is really strange to me that the Edwards AFB addon I have also modifies KFSO? But there is. I did not debug into the loading code so the modified KFSO probably only changes minor attributes like elevation or name. 2 minutes ago, Zylx said: LNM is not finding all of my scenery add-ons which is why I add the custom paths. There are (unfortunately) too many ways and paths to add airports in P3D. Which ones are not loaded and how and where are these installed? Maybe I can help. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

I'm not sure exactly all the airports LNM is not finding. It used to until I started adding more and more 3rd party airports and other scenery that also contains airports. One day I went on an airport binge and after adding a bunch of freeware and some payware airports and scenery that contains airports, I ran the LNM airport database scan and when it was finished, it showed the total number it found was even less airports than I had before I added the new scenery which had me scratching my head, I had it set to scan deactivated scenery too so I didn't know why LNM didn't find it all. So I added those paths and then it found everything, after that scan, the total number of airports jumped up to the highest amount I ever had by another 100 - 200 new airports it found that it didn't find before I added the paths. I do know for sure that it wasn't finding the freeware NL2000 Netherlands scenery that comes with about a dozen or so airports, I think it also was not finding the scenery in the root P3Dv5 folder, like some of the airports that installed in D:\Prepar3D V5\Scenery Rikoooo and the ones installed at D:\Prepar3D V5\SimMarket and D:\Prepar3D V5\Addon Scenery\NL2000 Netherlands even though it was in the Addon Scenery folder so I added all of those paths to LNM and it worked, I also added D:\Prepar3D V5\Addon Scenery itself too. It also was not finding the new Orbx scenery I bought for some reason. I purchased and installed all three True Earth Great Britain which adds many more airports as well as enhancing some existing ones. It is installed in the same P3D Orbx library as all my other Orbx scenery so I don't understand why it couldn't find them. Once I added all of those paths, LNM found everything. I never had this issue with FSX before or even P3D until recently. I had just updated a month about a month ago and I hadn't used LNM airport database scanner with that version before, maybe some kind of bug in the updated versions perhaps? I have updated again to the latest version, twice, you've been pumping them out fast recently. Of course, like I said, I hadn't added many airports to my P3D installation until recently. I've collected scenery of all kinds for the last several years and airports was the last type of scenery I was neglecting but I finally decided to add some nice looking airports cause the default ones were getting very boring to look at the same looking buildings everywhere I go, there's not many great looking global airport textures out there for P3Dv5 like there is for FSX. That's new to me than add-ons can be installed there. But "D:\Prepar3D V5\Addon Scenery" should work right away. I have no idea what is going on there and I did not touch the P3D database scanner for a long time. I'll have a look at my test setup for P3D. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
