PMDG OC2
This is awesome to know you are working on these things. I am very much looking forward both the installer and the downloader. It's good to know not all hope is lost in getting the official liveries again. There's so many I am missing.

Orbx Half Year Sale
Often times Orbx sales are mainly for Orbx products, and other developers that sell stuff on Central will have sales at different times. I've seen Orbx Partner sales that are focused on other developer's products or sometimes you will just have to manually search products to see if they might be on sale because it won't be announced at all by Orbx.

PMDG OC2
Thank you for your efforts and please keep up the great work @ColinM9991 ! And please take all the time you need. I think we are all rooting for you to get it completed, but given your busy schedule, I think most of us would prefer to patiently wait if necessary, to ensure that your application works as intended.

MegaSceneryEarth Sale - Last Call!
Last Reminder for FSX/P3D Users: MegaSceneryEarth is having a going out of business sale and will be shutting down their store on June 30th, so you have about 20 more days to make any purchases. You will still be able to download the scenery from their servers until December 31st of this year, so you still have about 6 more months to download the scenery files before they permanently shut them down. Their activation servers will stay online permanently, so you can still activate your scenery whenever you need. (If anyone wants to know how to do this after scenery download servers are shutdown, ask and I'll give instructions.) IMPORTANT: Make backups of your scenery, otherwise if you lose the scenery files after December 31st, you will lose them forever. MegaSceneryEarth has changed their sale so now you only need to purchase the states you want at $1.99 per state, so you don't need to buy an entire package to get the sale price for the U.S. states. Their other scenery is also on sale too. https://www.megasceneryearth.com/ (Please feel free to share this information)

PMDG Operation Center 2
Because of the way that PMDG doesn't seem to care about people that use legacy simulators like FSX and P3D, I refuse to buy any of their MSFS 2020 & 2024 products. Someday in the future, the same thing will happen to the MSFS 2020 & 2024 PMDG aircraft as well. PMDG could care less about the many fans and users that have spent lots of money buying their FSX and P3D products. It's those people that made them what they are today, yet PMDG could care less. I will never buy a PMDG product again for any simulator.

What airports do you feel lack quality scenery for Prepar3D?
It's really great to see that there's still some people wanting to make content for P3D these days. I am also learning to make content for P3D as well. I want to learn about both aircraft and scenery development. For me, it will be a slow process though, because I live a pretty busy life outside of my computer as well, but I am learning little by little. I wish both you and @Vapor the best of luck. Please I hope that when you guys start making content, that you both will come back and keep us all updated on what you're making.

What airports do you feel lack quality scenery for Prepar3D?
I hear ya. I know that the majority of P3Dv4/v5 compatible airports are just FS9/FSX airports with compatibility updates and they do not have P3Dv4/v5 specific features like PBR and dynamic lighting, etc. If someone were to create Hawaiian airports that are up to P3Dv4/v5 standards, I would definitely buy them. Like you, I really enjoy flying around Hawaii.

What airports do you feel lack quality scenery for Prepar3D?
The FSDreamteam Hawaii airports are pretty nice if you look at the screenshots. They are old, but so are most P3D compatible add-ons. The two Hawaii packages gives you a total of 4 airports: simMarket: Flight Simulation Add-Ons - MSFS, P3D, FSX, XPLANE Then there's the Hawaii Complete freeware package by Flight Sim Jewels that includes high quality photoscenery, mesh and custom autogen, as well as many airports that cover all of the Hawaiian Islands (you can just install the airports package if you don't want the rest of the scenery). The airports are not quite as nice as the FSDreamteam airports, but they are all fully custom renditions made to look like the real airports and there's a lot more than 4. It's much better than default. Hawaii Complete Photoreal & Airports Scenery for FSX & P3D

Is FS Pilot's Shop permanently broken?
I've never used this site before because I never noticed that they sell add-ons, I used to think they mainly sold hardware and stuff. Now I realize they have a bunch of add-ons that I want to browse and maybe buy but I am unable to create an account, go to the login page (in case I already had an account I forgot about), and I am unable to browse the full selection of software because when I click on the next page, it just goes to the home page again. According to a chatbot, it told me that the site has been partly broken for a long time and people get no responses even when they can log in and make a ticket. I see there's a phone number, but something tells me it will either not work or go straight to voicemail. The chatbot had me try several things, like disable all by browser extensions, disable tracking prevention, made sure all cookies are enabled, manually setting the site to allow all cookies and I also tried three different browsers; Edge, Firefox and Opera and I get the same problems on all three regardless of what I try. Is this site completely broken now?

What airports do you feel lack quality scenery for Prepar3D?
The secret truth is that there's many people out there in the world that still use different versions of P3D and even older legacy simulators, like FSX and even FS9 still. The reason forums for legacy sims are not as active as forums for newer sims is because the legacy sim users are not nearly as loud and noisy as people that use newer sims. There's plenty of people that still quietly use older flight simulators. There's plenty of reasons people still use older sims, for just a few examples; because they have older or lower end hardware that cannot run MSFS 2024 or X-Plane 12. If you think about it, the majority of PC/laptop users either just do not own or cannot afford higher end gaming rigs. Or they don't have access to high-speed internet that is required for streaming in sims like MSFS 2020 & 2024. And some people are just happy with what they have, they know what they want and don't feel the need to invest in a brand-new simulator just because there is a new one. Older sims also have much larger libraries of content available for them (add-ons) on the internet than newer sims. These are just a few reasons, I'm sure there's many more.

Prepar3d v6 - Global HD trees and Terra Flora
I could never stand the look of the ugly and unrealistic color palette of the speed trees in P3Dv5 so I use Orbx's Trees HD or Terra Flora V2. Another great option is Zinertek's Natural Tree Environment X. I switch it up depending on my mood. One good thing about Zinertek's trees is there's more color variation than Orbx trees which are all the exact same color. simMarket: NATURAL TREE ENVIRONMENT X FSX P3D

What airports do you feel lack quality scenery for Prepar3D?
Personally, I would love to see a quality version of KOSH. I would pay good money for that. I find it surprising that in all of the years that FSX and P3D have been around, nobody ever made a rendition of this airport that is better than default. All I've been able to find is a couple old very minor improvements to it for FSX and that's it.

A2A planes simconnect not working
People are finding out that Windows 11 is causing all kinds of new bugs with FSX and some FSX addons. This may be one of them. If you don't have FSX: Steam, I recommend you get it, it has a lot less problems than the box version of FSX. If you wait for a sale, you can buy FSX: Steam for $5. It is worth it because FSX:SE has a lot of bugs fixed that the box version doesn't have, and it has less problems on Windows 11. It is more likely that your A2A planes will work fine on FSX:SE.

Where did Eaglesoft Development Group go?
Yeah, there's plenty of old payware that is still available if you know where to look. Not all FSX payware addons can be found at the normal online FS stores. It's always good to do web searches when looking for specific addons that you can't find anywhere else. Another tip is to look on sites like Ebay, Amazon, and other second hand marketplaces to look for addons on disk that are more difficult to find if you cannot find them anywhere else on the internet. Btw, I had to turn of Windows Smart Screen in order to download the Eaglesoft Agent, otherwise Windows wouldn't let me download it.

If you look more closely at the screenshot you took, it says it is 2.16KB, not MB.

FSX and the C441
The default way of setting up controls in FSX is junk. @scianoir is correct, using FSUIPC4 is the best way to map and configure all of your controls. FSUIPC4 is an essential addon for FSX in my opinion, I probably wouldn't use FSX without it. You can find it here: simMarket: FSUIPC4 There is actually another great tool for mapping and configuring controls called Axis and Ohs which you can find here: simMarket: LORBY-SI - AXIS AND OHS V4 FSX P3D MSFS I've tried both and both are great. They are both payware though. FSUIPC4 does have some extra features that the other one does not, but both are great for controls.

File size for profile pics is way too small
This is where I got it from: I used to have a profile picture uploaded but now it's disappeared. The old image I used was much larger than 245 KB, but now it seems I've been restricted to 245 KB and my old image was deleted.

File size for profile pics is way too small
I've been trying to use a screenshot from a flight sim I took as a profile picture, but I am unable to make it small enough to meet the 245 kb maximum size limit. That is a ridiculously small file size that makes it impossible to use any FS screenshot as a profile picture. I've tried cropping the image, resizing the image and converting the image to jpg but the file size is still too large. The smallest I can get it is 320 kb and I have no idea how to decrease the file size any further without destroying the image quality.

FREE FSX mission downloads
Thank you for the heads up. I've been a long-time user of FSX and somehow I have never heard of this site before. I really wish I would have known about it sooner, but I will definitely be creating an account to download as much as I can. Can I ask, how long before you will be shutting down? Do you have a specific date?

CIVA INS V1.60
This may be a great option to try to find the CVIA INS from simulfly. The Wayback Machine is a great way for find add-ons that no longer are on the internet.

CIVA INS V1.60
Here's a much better version. It's called the Delco Carousel CIVA INS and you can find it here: AVSIM Library (First on the list of downloads). I think this is a different link because I double checked the file name, which is supposed to be called CIVA_INS.zip and this one has the same file name. Yes it says it's for the CLS 747 again, but the file name is correct, so it should be the right one. I noticed there's actually multiple CIVA INS unit downloads for the CLS 747, but I think the other one was broken.
