  1. It's really great to see that there's still some people wanting to make content for P3D these days. I am also learning to make content for P3D as well. I want to learn about both aircraft and scenery development. For me, it will be a slow process though, because I live a pretty busy life outside of my computer as well, but I am learning little by little. I wish both you and @Vapor the best of luck. Please I hope that when you guys start making content, that you both will come back and keep us all updated on what you're making.
  2. I hear ya. I know that the majority of P3Dv4/v5 compatible airports are just FS9/FSX airports with compatibility updates and they do not have P3Dv4/v5 specific features like PBR and dynamic lighting, etc. If someone were to create Hawaiian airports that are up to P3Dv4/v5 standards, I would definitely buy them. Like you, I really enjoy flying around Hawaii.
  3. The FSDreamteam Hawaii airports are pretty nice if you look at the screenshots. They are old, but so are most P3D compatible add-ons. The two Hawaii packages gives you a total of 4 airports: simMarket: Flight Simulation Add-Ons - MSFS, P3D, FSX, XPLANE Then there's the Hawaii Complete freeware package by Flight Sim Jewels that includes high quality photoscenery, mesh and custom autogen, as well as many airports that cover all of the Hawaiian Islands (you can just install the airports package if you don't want the rest of the scenery). The airports are not quite as nice as the FSDreamteam airports, but they are all fully custom renditions made to look like the real airports and there's a lot more than 4. It's much better than default. Hawaii Complete Photoreal & Airports Scenery for FSX & P3D
  4. I've never used this site before because I never noticed that they sell add-ons, I used to think they mainly sold hardware and stuff. Now I realize they have a bunch of add-ons that I want to browse and maybe buy but I am unable to create an account, go to the login page (in case I already had an account I forgot about), and I am unable to browse the full selection of software because when I click on the next page, it just goes to the home page again. According to a chatbot, it told me that the site has been partly broken for a long time and people get no responses even when they can log in and make a ticket. I see there's a phone number, but something tells me it will either not work or go straight to voicemail. The chatbot had me try several things, like disable all by browser extensions, disable tracking prevention, made sure all cookies are enabled, manually setting the site to allow all cookies and I also tried three different browsers; Edge, Firefox and Opera and I get the same problems on all three regardless of what I try. Is this site completely broken now?
  5. Do you use the default AI aircraft or some other kind?
  6. The secret truth is that there's many people out there in the world that still use different versions of P3D and even older legacy simulators, like FSX and even FS9 still. The reason forums for legacy sims are not as active as forums for newer sims is because the legacy sim users are not nearly as loud and noisy as people that use newer sims. There's plenty of people that still quietly use older flight simulators. There's plenty of reasons people still use older sims, for just a few examples; because they have older or lower end hardware that cannot run MSFS 2024 or X-Plane 12. If you think about it, the majority of PC/laptop users either just do not own or cannot afford higher end gaming rigs. Or they don't have access to high-speed internet that is required for streaming in sims like MSFS 2020 & 2024. And some people are just happy with what they have, they know what they want and don't feel the need to invest in a brand-new simulator just because there is a new one. Older sims also have much larger libraries of content available for them (add-ons) on the internet than newer sims. These are just a few reasons, I'm sure there's many more.
  7. I could never stand the look of the ugly and unrealistic color palette of the speed trees in P3Dv5 so I use Orbx's Trees HD or Terra Flora V2. Another great option is Zinertek's Natural Tree Environment X. I switch it up depending on my mood. One good thing about Zinertek's trees is there's more color variation than Orbx trees which are all the exact same color. simMarket: NATURAL TREE ENVIRONMENT X FSX P3D
  8. Personally, I would love to see a quality version of KOSH. I would pay good money for that. I find it surprising that in all of the years that FSX and P3D have been around, nobody ever made a rendition of this airport that is better than default. All I've been able to find is a couple old very minor improvements to it for FSX and that's it.
  9. People are finding out that Windows 11 is causing all kinds of new bugs with FSX and some FSX addons. This may be one of them. If you don't have FSX: Steam, I recommend you get it, it has a lot less problems than the box version of FSX. If you wait for a sale, you can buy FSX: Steam for $5. It is worth it because FSX:SE has a lot of bugs fixed that the box version doesn't have, and it has less problems on Windows 11. It is more likely that your A2A planes will work fine on FSX:SE.
  10. Yeah, there's plenty of old payware that is still available if you know where to look. Not all FSX payware addons can be found at the normal online FS stores. It's always good to do web searches when looking for specific addons that you can't find anywhere else. Another tip is to look on sites like Ebay, Amazon, and other second hand marketplaces to look for addons on disk that are more difficult to find if you cannot find them anywhere else on the internet. Btw, I had to turn of Windows Smart Screen in order to download the Eaglesoft Agent, otherwise Windows wouldn't let me download it.

  12. If you look more closely at the screenshot you took, it says it is 2.16KB, not MB.
  13. The default way of setting up controls in FSX is junk. @scianoir is correct, using FSUIPC4 is the best way to map and configure all of your controls. FSUIPC4 is an essential addon for FSX in my opinion, I probably wouldn't use FSX without it. You can find it here: simMarket: FSUIPC4 There is actually another great tool for mapping and configuring controls called Axis and Ohs which you can find here: simMarket: LORBY-SI - AXIS AND OHS V4 FSX P3D MSFS I've tried both and both are great. They are both payware though. FSUIPC4 does have some extra features that the other one does not, but both are great for controls.
  14. This is where I got it from: I used to have a profile picture uploaded but now it's disappeared. The old image I used was much larger than 245 KB, but now it seems I've been restricted to 245 KB and my old image was deleted.
