PMDG MD-11 not working any more

Featured Replies

Dear All,

As mentioned earlier in another topic, I am one of the last Dinos still flying with FSX. I own all PMDG products and fly with them regularly with full satisfaction.

Recently, I wanted to make a flight on the MD-11 and reinstalled it (I bought the boxed version from Aerosoft).

Now I keep getting an error message that I have never had before (pmdg options.dll), only on the MD-11. I have done everything described on the forums (deleting the cfg entry, re-downloading, etc.).

Could this be related to the discontinuation of 32-bit products?

Does anyone have any ideas to get this super plane working anyway?

with kind regards,

Bart

You're running this in a Win11 computer, right? Last big updates (24H2 and 25H2) have been a mess for older sims and its addons. I decided to stay in 23H2 because of this (although for P3Dv5 addons).

Best regards,

The reason it no longer works is because PMDG stopped supporting their PMDG Operations Center 2 app a few months ago. PMDG did update all of their other FSX (and P3D) aircraft installers to work without it, but you have to own the digital versions of the planes (from either the PMDG website or Aerosoft's site) to be able to download the updated and patched versions of the aircraft.

Also, I should mention that you will no longer have access to any official liveries for any of their aircraft because of this, so I strongly recommend that you backup all of the official liveries for the aircraft that you do already have installed if you want to keep them.

I think it is unlikely, unless that you can prove that you purchased the original disk version brand new (not from a reseller like Ebay) and still have the old receipt you can show them. If that is the case, you might have a chance of them helping you, otherwise you will probably be out of luck unfortunately.
