  1. Nice! I'm with you. This aircraft is my natural habitat. It is improved. The exterior is super. I've had some gremlins and a couple of crashes, but still a lot of fun.
  2. Does Simbrief import work? It doesn't seem to work for me. If not, that's Ok. I just don't want to keep trying if it's not working.
  3. Thanks. I'll check that
  4. I thought it looked a little better, especially outside...very shiny. Seems to work ok but my main complaint is still with the sounds; Super weak. Which is something I don't get. When it first released the sounds were nice and punchy, like you'd expect with 4 radial engines. I don't know what happened along the way. Somebody complained the sounds were too loud? I know I'm spoiled and all, but the sounds are just too much of a downer when there's so many other excellent aircraft out there. Maybe after all of PMDG's other projects are complete they could make an update for the DC-6.
  5. yeah, we ain't going nowhere
  6. Same here. And yes AJZip2, I did see the discussion above 😉
  7. Well, overall I like it. The sounds seem very nice too, although that's always subjective. The issues I've had is AP disconnect is very touchy and VRAM messages out the waazoo. Also, landing at KDFW (iniBuilds) my fps cratered. I don't know for certain the VRAM is associated with this aircraft, but I think so. Guessing all the cabin detail may be contributing. Note: my specs in the footer is out of date...I have a RTX5080 since my 3090 blew up.
  8. Looking forward to it...my favorite 73* version.
  9. I just watched the video of the soon to be released PMDG 737 It struck me how far simming has progressed in the last 5-6 years. We're jaded. We're spoiled. But, coming from P3D and FSX, you have to pinch yourself (sometimes) to make sure it's all real.
  10. glad i checked here before buying it 🙂
  11. Welcome. I've been enjoying it. I flew Tolis aircraft in X-Plane and I thought it was the best x-plane example. It has some great features (replay and Situations and skip ahead). They did a good job for a release version, I think. It is a beast to fly and has some annoyances (the g-force effect on passenger cameras is way over cooked and the EFB toggle for it doesn't do anything. Anyway, hope you enjoy it too.
  12. Check your email. Aerosoft issued new activation keys for reasons
  13. You can add my vote for something that's not GSX. When I moved to 2024 I left GSX behind and don't regret it. GSX is bloated, only works sometimes and I found it cost too many resources (FPS/Memory). So yeah, there's a niche there for the taking by some intrepid developers.
  14. And I thought it was just myself who was going to town on airports: KSAT KAUS KDFW EDKK EPKK EPWA KABQ
  15. Regarding the inability to calculate take-off data: Apparently, you must uninstall all versions of the A300 and then reinstall. The update doesn't work (sometimes?) as an update.
  16. Same for me (1 - 2). Any idea why #2 is happening?
  17. Thanks. Picked it up myself and looks great.
  18. I have to agree on Chase Plane. It has some small issues for me (amplified turbulence effect) but the positives far outweigh cost. As many views as you want. Flyby! Cinematics! Tower View! Ease of use. And, for me, the camera is smoother and faster with Chase Plane. Another neat feature: Airport Overview
  19. I might try the Boris pack...not a big outlay. But, I think the sounds in the 2024 PMDG version are pretty darn good.
  20. It's like this every release. I imagine them sitting around rubbing their hands together and making fiendish cackling noises.
  21. Me too. I never used an autopilot when I flew for airlines. I always flew ILSs without any helpers (Flight Directors etc) when ILS was available. Sometimes, it was a VOR approach or even NDB approaches ... the horror. I'm a little jealous of todays pilots with the glass cockpits and so on. Maybe that's why I really enjoy flying simulated state of the art aircraft.
  22. I've not experienced this. But, haven't flown since the last update. Try uninstalling/reinstalling maybe?
  23. This requires a link to Moon.
  24. yes required equipment. at least in the old days. i guess they use their phones nowadays.
  25. The first clue is Science isn't a publication. It's a click-bait factory. This is old news. At least 20 years old. There was a narrowing of human population based on a study of mitochondrial stuff and has since been questioned as to the number of humans and exactly when this happened. When I first read about this they suggested the event coincided with the last ice age which wasn't 800,000 years ago. Hell, there wasn't any humans that long ago.
