Realistic Chile scenery addons?

Recommended Posts

Guest Desert Flyer

Hello there,I've been downloading the realistic chile scenery addons that are available in the File library here and only have some simple questions....1. When I extract them from there .zip format, I've been just taking the two files out of the zip (the tex.bgl and elv.bgl files) and extracting them to: D:Microsoft Flight Simulator XAddon Sceneryscenery (where I have FSX installed of course), but Im wondering if the bgl files are supposed to be out in the open like that, or if they are supposed to stay in sub folders inside of the Addon Sceneryscenery folder?2. Is there something I need to do to activate them in teh game, or do I simply choose an airport somewhere in Chile and they will activate on their own? Thanks for the addon and thanks for any information you can give me on this.

You can extract them there or make a subfolder. FSX will rebuild the database when it detects changes. I think if you make a subfolder you have to add it with the scenery library page but it still picks it up. At least it has for me. I nstalled the total utah that way.

I second Daveo's advice, just create a 'Chile' subfolder in ADDON SCENERY, and extract all of the BGLs into it. Then, once you add that folder to the scenery library, you can continue to add files to it in the future without having to back and add anything else to the library.http://www.my-buddy-icon.com/Icons/objects/red_3d_plane.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD
