I have tried everything including a device reset. The FIP gauge shows up and I can manipulate the x-touch gauge by mouse and everything works fine. However there appears to be no connection to the actual device. All of the leds and buttons light up as usual but trying to use a rotator or the actual buttons results in no action in AAO. Completely unrelated to any hardware, and unless they appear in significant numbers (= thousands) they are of no consequence. By "FIP gauge" you mean the X-Touch addon gauge for AAO that "Funatic" made? This gauge is not affiliated with AAO in any way - did you ask the author for help? Sounds to me like you either haven't enabled the MIDI devices at all (menu "hardware") or that you are missing scripts of some kind. But I wouldn't know about those, sorry.
