Many times when I create a flight plan, the elevation profile does not function.  It just shows 0 ft for all points on the flight path.  Any help on this?

 

The online elevation data has limited coverage.
Install the GLOBE offline elevation data: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/latest/en/GLOBE.html

This has worldwide coverage but is not as accurate:
