September 29, 200817 yr Thx Nils but it does not solve the problem. Jus tried it. The light is a bit different then the original but also fades the darker the night gets up to the same point where you don't see any landing lights anymore. So the problem is not the spotlight.bmp but something else.Something (or some setting althou i don't have anything changed) is making the landinglight fade out the darker it gets... but what? October 1, 200817 yr LOOOOOL, After almost a week this is finaly solved. Even yesterday i still spend around 3 hours trying and testing aircraft.cfg files, swapping spotbeam and halo.bmp's just to see the effects and hopefully come accross a solution. It never happened. This morning however, at work, i decided to have a quick peek to see if somebody posted a reply. Nobody did. But i could not resist to open the topic and when i saw my post with the screenshots, my jaw hit my desk.On my screen at work, everything seemed normal and the screenshotslooked very good. Landing lights were visible at every screenshot. This was not the case at home and made me check my monitor settings the moment i got home. With only a minor adjustment to brightness and contrast everything turned back to normal.I did not touch these settings for over at least 2 years. The i realised that some time ago, the monitor would not react to the videosignal ans showed nothing on screen. The only way to bring it back alive was to unplug the power and put it back in. Then the videosignal was recognised again and worked without a problem after that (up until now). But this action also resetted the monitor settings resulting in the loss of landing lights... LOL!On the positive side... i learned a bit more about the internals of FSX!
