Fuselage gone!

Featured Replies

Hope someone here can help me with this problem. I was flying the Maule and suddenly all I had was wings, prop, tail section, and engine controls. No fuselage or instrument panel. I had this same problem with the Air King. Reload the aircraft and the problem follows it. Only way to fix it is to delete the flight and start all over again. First time this has happened, have loaded SP2 from Microsoft. Thanks for any help.Dave

That is an interesting one. It may well be a driver issue as all the texture issues caused by SP2 show up in the aircraft preview window. You may have to update your video drivers. As a mtter of interest what video card are you using.

I am presently running a Nividia 7800 series. I have been running the newest driver but went back one to see if it would help with CTD's so let me try the latest one that they show.Dave

How much video memory do you have? 256?You can exhaust the memory of your card, and then FS will start cutting out textures. This sounds like what you are seeing. However you should not get video memory exhaustion unless you are near a big airport/big city, etc.Trying different video drivers as was suggested, is always a good idea.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

Really don't think that I am running out of video memory as I can go to White Sands, New Mexico USA and load the Beechcraft King Air 350 and it has no fuselage. I am sitting there with wings, tail section, engines, and gauges but no instrument panel. Sort of like Wonder Womans plane. Look down and you see the runway. Switch to another plane and all is fine. Next in line is to reload the software for the video card. Will keep you all posted.Dave
