Learjet 35A Trim issue

Featured Replies

Hi everybody, I have a kind of a weird trim issue. The trim won't move if I hit the trim switch on the center pedestal nose up or down. with the secondary trim system it works! Can you think of any reason the primary system doesn't work? Last flight it worked with the prim system, but after landing I got the t.o. trim warning light and then again I couldn't move the trim. very strange... I also removed the key binding to my joystick with no effect.

Thanks
Christian

The elevator trim responds to the standard MSFS bindings Elevator Trim Up and Elevator Trim Down. For normal operations the 3-position center pedestal trim switch should be full forward which enables the primary trim system. Note activating elevator trim should turn off the autopilot if it is on, so if you use key or button bindings for the trim, you should set up those same bindings to turn off the autopilot. When the autopilot is on it uses the secondary trim system even if the 3-position center pedestal trim switch is in the Primary position.

If the standard trim bindings don't work, make sure you are using a standard Flysimware livery and your GPS is up to date. Out of date GPS units and addon liveries that are not fully compatible with the latest version of the Lear35 are known to cause strange problems.
