Radios dark after reinstall

I installed MSFS on a new computer, and used the content folder from a previous install.  It all looks great and works, except for two things: the radios/avionics in all my planes are dark, and when I exit the sim, it hangs.   Really weird...  I would really hate to have to download all my content, since it all seems to be just fine.. except..

Has anyone run into something similar?

Update:  I renamed the Official folder to Official.bak and downloaded 120 GB of content... and Bingo, it all works again.  ☺️

    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
