Sim Freeze advice

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I’m just trying to get a bit of advice, I purchased the iFly737MAX last week and completed a flawless flight from Keflavik to Oslo on Sunday. I then attempted to do the return but half-way back to Keflavik my Sim froze and the audio continued.

My MSFS 2020 install has been working beautifully and it really got me a bit flustered this happening. I’m not using any AutoSave programmes for the Sim. Is there any that anyone would recommend so that should this happen again I can go back to where I left off. I do own FSUIPC but was wondering if there are any other decent AutoSave programmes out there.

Also, has anyone else experienced sim freezes? I checked my Windows Event Viewer for the time around the freeze and noticed a fault with the Couatl exe. I ran the FSDreamTeam manager and updated GSX pro as I wasn’t running the latest version incase that caused my issue.

I am running the latest NVIDIA Graphics Drivers and the Sim is up to date along with the aircraft. I was also using the recently released REX Atmos.

I did try asking for advice on one of the Facebook groups the other day but I wish I hadn’t as I didn’t receive one helpful reply.

I did complete another flight with the iFly737MAX from Akureyri in Iceland to Keflavik in an attempt to finish off my frozen flight. This one worked perfectly without issues. I must say I really do like the iFly737MAX.

Thanks for your time,

Jonathan.
