January 30, 200818 yr Long ago I downloaded TileProxy.I ended up deleting it (folder and files) until a newer version came out. When I look in my "Add Remove Program" it still shows Tile Proxy as being instlled. ... do not know why. Maybe I did not "uninstall" it at that time.Anyway, when I try to remove it, it goes thry the motions of Setup/uninstall.But it remains in the "Add Remove Program" listing. Can anyone offer a solution on how to get rid of it.I do not want to download a new version until I get rid of this one. January 30, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi there, you can use the free CCCleaner - http://www.ccleaner.com/ - to remove unwanted Uninstall entries. It also includes a Registry checker so that any remaining references to TP would be found and removed.Cheers, Holger
January 30, 200818 yr Author Holger,Thanks for the tech support on this. Much appreciated.I checked my files.I had D/L it/used it once long ago but really did not get into it much. Guess I was "afraid" of messing with the registry ... non-programmer here, if you know what I mean!I will go get the the latest version, read and do. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
January 30, 200818 yr Sorry about that forgotten registry entry. It will be fixed in the Beta 7 version. The previews to Beta 7 still have that installer bug.Vista will prompt you if it should remove that entry from the Add/Remove Programs dialog, if you try to use it twice. The registry key in question is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstallTileProxy
January 30, 200818 yr Author Thanks for the follow up.I seen 7 preview 2 on your site.Got the old version uninstalled (removed from the add/remove list) with Ccleaner a little while ago. Thanks for the add to the next release.Have a good day. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
