November 9, 20241 yr Hello, I just installed the Discover Arabia add-on by First Class Simulations which these add-ons are basically a small airplane (Aerodyne SeaRey in this case) and a bunch of flight plans. The plane seems to be working ok without a problem, I've installed it into P3Dv5. There is one really big issue that I cannot solve, and this may sound dumb but for the life of me, I cannot find the lever to raise/lower the floats/pontoons that are on the wings (like the Grumman Goose). According to what I've read, the Aerodyne SeaRey is supposed to have retractable floats/pontoons. From sources on the web I read that there's supposed to be a lever in the center console area for this but there is none in this model that I can find and none of the 2D panels or a lever or switch. I examined every inch of the VC and found nothing, no lever, no button, no switch. I even tried the keyboard command for Wings Fold but it did nothing. There are four short manuals for this package that I read and none of them discuss how to do this. This is driving me mad, please does anyone know if it's even possible in this model? November 11, 20241 yr Hello, there isn't animation in the mdl files for the pontoons. So is not possible to retract.

Thanks for replying I appreciate it. I believe you since there's no way I can find to retract them. I was looking at the construction of the pontoons on the outside of the plane itself and kind of looks to me like that the metal structures that the pontoons are attached to are bolted into place so maybe there's two different variants of the plane, one with retractable pontoons and another without. Maybe the original version of the SeaRey didn't have retractable pontoons. I have to say though, it is an interesting little light aircraft to fly, it's like a mini Grumman Goose, you can put the gear down while in the water and climb up onto shore. It doesn't like to fly straight and level all the time, likely due to it's aerodynamics of having the pontoons as well as the landing gear (retracted) hanging outside of the plane the way they do. I saw someone on Steam that gave this add-on a bad review because it doesn't like to stay flying straight and level all the time but some people don't realize that not all aircraft do in real life, especially one that is designed the way this one is aerodynamically. BTW for anyone interested in these First Class Simulations add-ons, I'm using it in P3Dv5 (not officially compatible). The flight plans are installed in the Documents/Prepar3D v5 Add-ons folder so no problem there, and the plane itself works fine. I'm the kind that has a difficult time deciding where I want to fly so I like these kinds of add-ons. https://www.firstclass-simulations.com/collections/flight Specs: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon board, Ryzen 5800X CPU, 3600Mhz Corsair RAM, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT GPU Favorite Sims: FSX:SE, P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 11 & 12
