Can I create a global (all aircraft) setup in AAO?

Featured Replies

Basic question, but I can't seem to find any actual statement on this anywhere.

I bought AAO a good while ago but have never gotten far with setting it up. It seems to offer a lot more than I need. All I want to do is set up my controllers with a basic set of allocations that will work with ALL aircraft. Nothing very detailed or fancy as I'm not interested in proper piloting, but I do have probably 300 or more aircraft on my system and I'd like to set up a configuration that will do the basics for all of them. I certainly don't want to go through all that lot setting up individual assignments.

My main "need" for something like AAO is the capability to have a reliable setup for my controllers that will survive any misdeeds by MS/Asobo - I have had a couple of occasions over the years where my assignments have just apparently been wiped.

So, is there any option to set up a true "master/default" configuration for all aircraft?

Any advice gratefully received, thanks.

Create one configuration for one aircraft. Save it as a template "Templates->Save current setup as a template". Now, whenever you climb into a new aircraft, link it to this template "Templates->Link a template to this aircraft".

Remember which plane is the "Master". Whenever you want to make a change, you need to load that plane again, make the change, then save the config as a template, overwriting the existing one. All linked aircraft will automatically inhert the change.

Thanks for that. I'll experiment!
