February 12, 200818 yr Guys, what are the best light cloud sets for FSX? Are those in ASX or FEX or elsewhere? Thanks.
February 12, 200818 yr Elsewhere. In the as-yet-unreleased REX:http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/FEX is okay, but seems to me (personal opinion) that the cloud sets aren't much better than what you can create with the default with very little effort.
February 12, 200818 yr fsxmissionguy, thanks for the answer. Sorry, I didn't make myself clear I wanted some FPS relief in the first place. I want to go higher in the settings, but save some frames on the quality. Are there DXT/lower res sets that you know in XGraphics or FEX or elsewhere? Thanks.

February 12, 200818 yr Redline,Could you post some screenies that demonstrate the massive margin. I haven't found any that show dramatic improvement over default FSX. I'm not debating it, I just haven't found any yet, and am considering a purchase.Thanks.

February 12, 200818 yr I'm really impressed how REX make cloud formations, because the FSX default, if you lets say choose cumulous clouds, puts the same bush shaped cloud over and over again.
February 12, 200818 yr Thanks,Here's a video I did of FSX's default clouds, which I think are remarkable, but you be the judgehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/184885.jpgVideo Link:http://youtube.com/watch?v=Uee8FWoPr1YI think they could use improvement, and FEX is marginally better (again, just my view). REX seems to have great screenshots especially of the water textures:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/184884.jpg... but as you correctly noted, I can't fly in a screenshot.Cheers,Kevin
February 13, 200818 yr Author The REX betas will start soon and i am very glad to be part of the team. The preview pictures i saw yet are more than competition ! And REX will be far more than a sky and water environment upgrade. To call it a copycat made me really smile :-). I am using FEX now since it was released and i am satisfied. It is the best addon currently available, no doubt. But this might change - we will see...
