2024 on a samsung g9 57 inch freezing

Featured Replies

Is anyone else using this monitor.  I have been running msfs 2020 no problems but now both sims freeze in the cockpit. I have a second 49 inch oled and using same cable it works just fine.

I have it. I have barely used MSFS 2024 and I Won’t until the MD-80 works on it.  The TBM cockpit looked awful on the 57. It was skewed to hell. Also the lighting in some cockpits was so  awful too.  That said the 57 it a bit of a let down compared to the 49 qled. HDR looks so bad on it that I don’t even bother using it. Also doesn’t look as good in the dark. That said tho, the size is really nice. More immersive than the 49”

The couple of days when I first tried 2024 if I would pan around fast in some cockpits the fps went to 1 and it would stutter bad.

Could someone explain how an output device can have any influence whatsoever on a game /software? Obviously custom settings in sim tweaked to work best with a particular screen will have an effect but once out of the box that's it right? There is no returning data from screen that the sim reads surely?

If I'm being an iddy yutt I'm happy to be enlightened!
