November 22, 20241 yr Nice review. MSFS 2024 physics are at a whole other level. A overwhelming number of real life pilots have said the flight modeling is much better. And there has been a huge improvement in the ground handling. When the bugs get sorted out and 3rd party devs get their add ons working in MSFS 2024, I think we will have a winner. Indeed, although ---> and I have to say the truth because otherwise I would be lying to myself and to the all of you folks <--- it sometimes makes me think everybody must be "drunk" 😕 The few aircraft I tried so far, mostly new default aircraft that I had never had access to in FS 2020, like the Red Bull racers, the P51D, the T-6, and the LS-8 which I did fly before in FS 2020, feel so "cartoonish" flight dynamics wise that I'm puzzled to see youtubes of guys I usually take seriously, like even A320 Sim Pilot, V1-Simulations and the guy above who is a RW heli pilot, praising the new feel ???? Either there's something seriously wrong with me or there's something seriously wrong with them 🙂 I haven't noticed any significant improvements in either ground or in flight physics. I can't find the most basic and flight dynamics wise expected effects, such as those resulting from having a prop and a powerful engine driving it, ahead of you, in those prop aircraft I tried... The LS-8 doesn't really feel any better for me than in FS 2020... :-// Other than that, YES! I am really liking the whole concept of FS 2024, the scenery - default - which changed for better, it is rather smooth even being streamed (including the aircraft), the weather rendering also looks better, although I haven't yet found the chance to test the effects on aircraft... I haven't touched the helicopters or the airliners, and am still struggling to learn the new controller definitions, but I will give the 330, 321 and a couple helis a try during the weekend, if I get the time... Other than some reservations regarding the impact it may have on my Internet home service in case the streaming makes the monthly traffic grow above acceptable limits, I also fully accepted the idea behind FS 2024, and I would even say that ALL aircraft and other products should preferably be available **only through the Marketplace**, even freeware which tagged with $0,00 price but would have to be submited by their devs to the MS cloud and made available from there. No more custom installers like those used by PMDG, iFly, Fenix, ... If they want their products in, then they have to sell it through the Marketplace, with NO exceptions ! Important freeware developers, like FBW, should have access to the Marketplace and, without any costs for them, be allowed to place their offers there too. If streaming is the way, and MS / ASOBO have taken that route, let's make it that way only, for the good and for the not so good, for at least enough time to measure the impacts on the game playability, and based on that either stay that way or introduce alternatives. Nowadays Internet is a LOT more stable and fast than it was just 10 years ago, so...
