I've tried everything to stop seeing the Red Man and customise my avatar but clearly I'm going to have to wait for Microsoft to sort out this bug because each time it ends up being a CTD.  I sense some of you have managed to find a workaround but I've spent too much unnecessary time on this simulator already.  I've requested a refund and I'm out until it works properly.

I'm sorry you're having trouble. I think it may be a compatibility issue since I have yet to see the red man, and I've changed outfits way more than I'd like to admit. There is a bug with the big puffer coat where it appears in the sim separate from the body and a few shirts that bleed into the pants, but other than that and the lack of a simple color wheel instead of their limited color choices, it's worked well for me.
