BeyondATC works pretty well. In my case the only issue I find is that the planes stutter quite a bit but hey this is MSFS2024 when pretty much everything stutters at some point!

Keen to download MSFS2024 now that SU2 has landed but early feedback feels mixed. I wonder if we'll see some sort of inevitable hotfix.

Sorry for being so out of touch but do we still have to start outside the aircraft?

I'm awaiting SU2 for MSFS2024 before I consider making the switch over. At the risk of offending some folks but in its current state MSFS2024 still feels early access to me.

Sounds like 2020 has become the poor relation

Nothing instils confidence here. I'm a happy camper with MSFS2020 and I don't expect to reinstall MSFS2024 for quite some time at this rate.

This is my experience too. In fact thanks to how borked 2024 is I have a new found appreciation for 2020 and have uninstalled 2024 because I plan to continue with 2020 for the time being.

Well if they are going to prioritse MS2024 at least make it fit for purpose first. I'm enjoying MSFS2020 tremendously at the moment and don't plan on reverting to MSFS2024 for quite some time given how poor it currently is.

I recommend it too. Only problem I have is that the traffic ATC is so frequent I can’t hear GSX and cabin announcements which sometimes clashes at the same time!

As a man of principle I refuse to adopt MSFS2024 until I can start in the cockpit.

Exactly the same as my setup! 2025 cockpits shaping up nicely once MSFS2024 can sort itself out.

The default start should be inside the cockpit with an optional shortcut (ctrl+c!) to go outside and walk around.

I’m in between two stalls now. I don’t want to return to MSFS2020 because I feel it’s regressing based on what the future holds but word not allowed Microsobo you really messed up peoples’ expectations with MSFS2024. Anyone in their right mind knew how broken it was on release and yet you went ahead with it anyway. I’m currently sitting out on both sims as my enthusiasm has since reduced. I’ll be back in the new year post some MSFS24 updates and maybe just maybe it’ll be ok.

For some reason this no longer works for me and I can’t walk around anymore?

Does that mean I can request a refund for MSFS2020 too! Honestly this how debacle is shameful from Microsobo. It’s a strange time for both sims at the moment and I’m not playing either. I’ll try MSFS2024 again post patch 3 but in the meantime I can recommend Indiana Jones!

I cannot spawn into any airport with any plane under Free Flight. I just sit there watching the loading circle in the lower right corner and end up having to Escape out. What gives?

Can confirm career mode is now broken (and it would appear so for many others). Not even sure you can call it a patch when it breaks something that was previously working. Let’s hope for better things next week but if this is the quality of patches we’re due to get I don’t hold out much hope. also, why was Tobii eye tracker a prioritised bug to fix when there are a gazillion other things that should have probably ranked higher? I’m starting to lose confidence here.

Same experience here. Given up on MSFS24 only to find servers are affecting MSFS2020 too. This is beyond a joke now.

Ah. The old we’re gonna need a hotfix for the hotfix. sheesh.

Not sure if this is the patch but after updating I no longer see the dreaded red man and it no longer crashes at the Customise Identity screen. However I’m just sat here looking at Birds Eye views of airports because my plane won’t load in. Fun times as always.

Be thankful you can access career. Some of us are still crashing out on the Customise Identity screen with a red man of death. I've never known a more borked game on release.
