For the last 30 minutes, I haven't been able to get into MSFS 2020. It says it needs to do a 0GB update, then says "connection lost", then crashes to desktop after saying connection has been established again. 

 

Is anyone else having this problem?

Just started for me also.......

I am unable to load or install. This is amateur hour. 

Weird. I've had connection problems, but never CTDs before. 

In the Xbox app, it says my MSFS 2020 is "owned", but not "installed". MSFS 2024 is "installed".

Yeah same here, what a load of nonsense

Same here... Online Services unavailable.  I also had the CTD but was able to get back in.  

Edit:  Flight loaded, got the green connection successful and CTD

Lost connection CTD on several tries.

Also, Checking for Updates never ends.

I only have MSFS2020 installed.

Ok, so it's not just me. I guess I can stop troubleshooting.

I was checking something about 15 minutes ago, and got stuck in the checking for updates circle when I tried to sign on. I just restarted my PC. 

Same here.  Attempted to start MSFS2020. It went to the update download page and it quickly flashed a 300+ GB was coming (that's what the page looks like, page title is INSTALLATION MANAGER).  it is now stuck at this page with "/ 0B" at the lower right where the download progress/speed are reported.  Has been in this state for 20+ minutes. 

I purposely decided to hold off for 6 months or so on 2024 to let the bugs and usual problems work themselves out. 2020 has been great for me and if a new sim never came I would have been good with that. I"m sure many feel the same. Now it seems we are going to get dragged into their problems anyway. Can't win. 

 

Same here, most likely related to that very fine idea of using the same servers for both 2020 and 2024 ...
