Open the Inibuilds Jetways app in the MSFS 2024 EFB.

I'm talking about parking postions without jetways - the stairs often don't connect properly now, and it was working fine before the latest update.

Jetways are connecting fine for me, but stairs are not. Often they stop a few feet away from the door, and sometimes they connect, but then disconnect and move away for no reason.

I can recommend the Winctrl Ursa Minor Airline joystick. Much better quality than the Thrustmaster TCA one, and not too expensive.

I hadn't loaded up this plane for months because it was so unstable. I thought I'd give the new version a try. CTD on final approach.

What would be wrong with that?

By the way, you yourself said that "AI is the proverbial word not allowed savant, and it just can’t be trusted with many technical subjects." Either you don't know how to prompt it, or it can't be trusted - which is it?

I know how to ask an unambiguous question. Anyway, back to the thread: do you think that the AI response trumps stearmandriver's?

AI tools are untrustworthy when it comes to factual information. They frequently state falsehoods as if with absolute certainty. Nothing they say should be passed on without extensive questioning and research - which begs the question: why use them for factual queries in the first place? I accept they may have other uses - I have been told they're quite useful for generating code, for example.

I agree. I would like to see a forum-wide ban on AI generated “information”, though.

I completely agree with you about AI, but what you’re describing here is the opposite of “disingenuous”.

Have you tried disabling "Fast Start-up"? That solved my sound issues. Open the Control Panel (the old-school one), go to "Hardware and Sound", then "Power Options", then "Choose what the power buttons do" (it's on the left), then uncheck the box next to "Turn on fast start-up"), then "Save Changes" and restart the computer. If the "Turn on fast start-up" option isn't there at first, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
