Yes, i could  not finish setup and was really annoyed

But now.....

Flying with the Fenix it is the best sim I have ever flown.

Of course I am aware of all the issue's for a lot of people. But I am a lucky one, it looks great and the performance is great. For me it is so much better then MSFS2020 did not have a single issue.

With family commitments I get so few evenings to do a full flight these days it's so disappointing to run into this, and much as I really want to move over, 2024 is just SO full of bugs I simply can't.

Jetline Systems, Windows 10 Professional, Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Pro Ax LG 1200, Intel Core i9 10900K Ten Core, Corsair H100 240mm Liquid Cooler, 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR SDRAM 3200MHz, 10GB Nvidea GeForce RTX 3080 GDDR6X, 4TB M.2 NVMe SSD, 1000 watt Gold Power Supply.

This is all about the money. We loyally thought, not that long ago, that our sim would keep being developed and a new one wasn't coming. Then they saw the dollar signs. Now we have a new half baked sim with beautiful graphics to lure in the masses. I have never been an X-plane guy but I know that Austin is an avid pilot and flight simmer and would never let his platform degenerate into a game for X-Box,  which brings up the age old argument. Game or Simulator.

Any chance you could give us back the server resources that were stolen from us for your new toy then ?

No, this is all about a current 2020 outage that is being investigated.

Maybe you could try FSX, it might run well?

Just loaded msfs2020 and it said an update of minus 242 gb (or something like that) was required. So I clicked update and it loaded, but with a warning that online services were unreachable and that I should check my internet conection.  My connection is fine at 136 MB so I'm guessing that MS servers have probably shat theirselves yet again for the umpteenth time.  Either than or the Russions/Chinese have started their hybrid war against the west - Bar stewards.

Market placeis greyed out so I'm prety sure as I load in my flight, I'm going to get minimal textures - further edit - MSFS has CTD'd and is now stuck on checking for updates.  Another hour of my life wasted.

Why on earth would anyone happy and content with 2024 be trolling this topic. Lowest common denominator.

We loved our old cow. Was with the family 4 years. She gave us milk and moos and we used to pet her all day long in the fields.

Then she got old and the milk stopped but the moos and petting was still fun! Farmer said no worries I got you a new cow!

Some of the kids ran off to play with the new cow but the animal was not tame, ran around and finally broke the fence and has run off into the woods.

The kids who were trying to pet the new cow ran back to join those of us with our old cow and her moos.

But...she was no longer there! The farmer had taken her out to slaughter to feed the hunters searching for the new cow.

We no longer have a cow to play with OR give us milk.....

We miss the moos most of all....

What are you on about? Apart from the Fenix, no addon aircraft work in 2024 yet. So if we want to fly the PMDG 737 or 777, or the iFly 737 MAX, we still have to use MSFS 2020. In addition, it runs far more smoothly than 2024. It's far from being an obsolete sim. Well, it was, until tonight.

I just made a joke, but on the other hand:

For me the Fenix in 2024 runs much smoother performance wise then in 2020 and the world has much better visuals.

I'm out. I am 68 years old and been around this hobby for almost 40 years. I know where this topic is heading. Sad
