After 3 CTD's yesterday I was in the GUI checking settings in the evening and gave it one more shot.  Surprisingly, the flight loaded and all went well.

I loaded a flight today and held my breath - no crash - had a great flight.

Happy to report I was able to get right in, no hanging at installation manager, load time was back down to around 3 minutes and performance seems stellar.  Probably placebo and could be due to my AI changes but it actually seems the best it's ever looked/performed.  Every taxiway/taxi light was visible at KEWR with zero popping, textures look the crispest I remember and my TLOD of 400 has zero blurriness as far as the eye can see and I had the most realistic clouds on climb out instead of magically popping out of heavy overcast at 3,000 feet with Activesky.  I had real cloud layers...  

Also using Lossless at 40FPS with 2X and it is pinned at 80 and incredibly smooth.

I know this doesn't help you but as an FYI I loaded up about 90 minutes ago and all was fine....  Doing KMIA-KEWR right now, no issues.

Was it the DX error again or just a CTD?  At the main menu again?  

I see you are in the US so probably not a case of us being on different server issue, I am in the Northeastern US.

There IS a thread on the Official forums asking if 2020 is down again though so I don't think you are alone!

I never know if we can cross post links but head to the official forums if you haven't already.  They are still very responsive to 2020 issues and when it was clear it was a widespread problem on Sunday they were on it right away.

I had a CTD a couple of hours ago, after landing, so not too big of a deal. Strange thing was I'm using MSI Afterburner and Riva tuner. I'll usually boost FPS on final (I have a lower end computer) and then bring them back down a bit during taxi to manage temperature. But on this one, it didn't matter what I did, FPS stayed low, temps stayed way low, I could land but quite herky jerky. Then after parking sudden CTD. I had never experienced that scenario before. Shut down PC, restarted sim and everything fine so far on my next flight.

I've had one successful flight a day (on average) with all other attempts crashing. Once I actually reach the tarmac after clicking FLY there are no issues.  All crashes occur in the transition from clicking Fly from the Flight Planner - if I suddenly see my departure field everything is fine - if I don't, I'm back on the desktop.

I just finished a successful flight after several crashes.  I turned off the Rolling Cache entirely (something I've never done) and also changed my parking spot from my original choice and ended up at the airport ready to go.  I don't know if either of these changes led to my success - it seems that every time I make a change that results in a successful flight it doesn't work the following day.

99% of the CTDs indicate CoherentGTJS.dll as the faulting module and the others FlightSimulator.exe.

I also got a CTD yesterday with CoherentGTJS.dll being the faulting library. I have never had a CTD in MSFS2020 in my years of using it. 

I was on approach to EICK in the Carenado C182 after a reasonably long flight. I have used this airport and this aircraft (together) many times.

EICK is payware from the marketplace, as is the C182.

I recently installed ORBX MS Trees Global and Aviaworx AVia CDU MSFS (which wasn't running).

I was also running FBW FSLTL, which I regularly use without issue. 

The sim started up fine afterwards but I haven't attempted a flight since.

 

Does anybody know what role CoherentGTJS.dll plays in the sim??

I live in Germany and apparently here the ISP Telekom is blocking the connection to MS servers when the data consumption is too high. In the MSFS 2024 forums, several possible solutions are offered to solve that. Among them is the change of the DNS and the use of a VPN. I tried everything suggested but to no avail, I always get the „bandwidth too low“ error and then nothings happens anymore.

But now I get the very same problem with MSFS 2020 as well. The very moment the aircraft (any aircraft) spawns in (any airport), the bandwidth too low error appears and I am switched to offline with no chance to get back online. Then flying is like with P3D…

Are there any other solutions to try? Unfortunately, I cannot go away from the German Telekom, they are the only provider in my region.

Any advice is appreaciated.
