December 1, 20241 yr MSFS2020 seems to be working fine in the UK this morning, though I think the "checking for updates" screen was taking a bit longer than usual at start up. Other than that, full functionality appears to have resumed following yesterdays debacle (not for the first time). MS have really got to get their act together in respect of the server issues that have been plagueing both sims over the past month or two. They have done something with the 2020 servers which started this whole debacle, the question is why? Edited December 1, 20241 yr by Bobsk8
December 1, 20241 yr 9 hour flight in pmdg 777= CTD on decent 11 hour flight in 777= CTD on decent CTD in fenix a320 CTD in pmdg 737 and 738 CTD in default aircraft. Never happened before. All since micro update. I think I'm done for a bit, lol
December 1, 20241 yr Very mixed reports this morning. Some are reporting it is still broken with CTD's. others are saying it's fine. Either way if I had to guess MS screwed up a change window somewhere that had a domino effect based on how this started for everyone simultaneously. Silence from them on the official forums though. Had planned on a flight today but I doubt it based on the reports. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 1, 20241 yr Just did CPH-LHR in the Fenix A320SL - no problems at all. I shall now pour myself an espresso shot, load up MSFS2024 and redo the flight there. Since 2024 was released my 2020 update screen has gone from being barely noticeable (unless there was an update) to hanging for 1 to 1.5 minutes before proceeding. The rest of the load process seems unchanged. It's pretty clear that there is at least some resource sharing going on. Yesterday was my first opportunity to sim in over 2 weeks, so definitely annoyed at yesterday's nonsense, and hoping today is better. There's that initial moment of panic when you think you've done something to bork your system, followed by a measure of relief when you discover everyone else is in the same state. Not gonna get too vexed about it though - it does no good and in the grand scheme of things isn't worth elevating my BP. Scott
December 1, 20241 yr Had another couple of quick (circuit) flights this afternoon so far, and everything is performing like clockwork 👍 Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
December 1, 20241 yr It has happened to me too since yesterday, and I have to find out what changed because I had never experienced freezes. What I did different since I started using FS 2024 was: - tried to play with default ATC and the new integrated EFB, in the Inibuilds A321 LR, and each time I end a flight the sim freezes, and I have to kill the process through the Task Manager; - I enabled AI aircraft; - I disabled the "Dynamic settings" options in the Graphic properties; Also started noticing, while using the EFB and / or opening the ATC window that FPS dropped from a previously always stable and smooth 30 FPS, set through Riva Tuner, sometimes to 22 - 24 FPS (???)... This I believe I fixed when by enabling VSync and half refresh rate in the sim and not using Riva Tuner, but it's strange because before today I had never experienced FPS drops. Just to make sure it was not related to the A321, I also did a few flights from Porto ( LPPR ) in the DHC-6, and experienced teh same FPS drops... Other than that, FS 2024 PUMPS JOY and SHINES like Sun to my eyes 🤩 Best Sim EVER ! December 1, 20241 yr I just departed KSMF in the 777, and due to Asobo apparently tinkering with the 2020 servers, I had a stutter fest all the way up to 8,000 feet AGL. I hope they can put the servers back to the way they were 2 days ago. Edited December 1, 20241 yr by Bobsk8

I am even able to close my eyes to the flight dynamics... Now I just want the FSLabs Airbuses to get released for 2024, and until then, to be able to use both FSLabs and Fenix for "serious" simming 😉 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
