Mandatory updates should be illegal. 4 months ago I was in Msfs heaven. Everything perfectcand smooth as butter. Now I can't even start the planes without  major stutters making it impossible to

  • Lately, everytime I update something, scenery, something in the sim, or anything, I cross my fingers the next time I start a flight. Never know what is going to happen. 😡

Is that the update for the C 172? Seems like every update is a potential problem.

Yes, that's what it looked like it was updating, now it wont start. and all my old tricks to get it to work again are not working this time.

It was for two Airbus and the PC-6 from the release notes and whatever it was it seems to have absolutely tanked my performance which was stellar up until yesterday and a garbage stuttering mess today...  🤦‍♂️

Was that the release notes or the files you saw updating?  I read the release notes but didn't actually see the files it was updating at the bottom like I normally do... There is always a chance the release notes aren't accurate these days...  I think the notes said 1.38.2?  as the build number?

The files showed that when the update ran. It was a very small update, and the build I have now is 1.38.2, but that may be the same as it was before; I'm not sure.

OK, I would believe the files you saw actually updating over the readme file and their notes at this point.

Then it was that small like 100 something meg Cessna update and ever since my sim is a stuttering sputtering mess.   Gone from the smoothest sim I have ever used to almost unusable overnight 😞

Based on the MSFS gods mood it should be good to go again tomorrow with zero input on my end LOL

The release notes said 2 airbuses and PC-6. But when downloading the new files it was a C172 file only.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

so @Bobsk8 and I were both right and in the end once again Asobo is completely incompetent and can't even get the release notes right LOL

Thank you for confirming @Fielder

A few things that come to mind?  Do you have the Nvidia App?  DX11 or DX12?  Have you checked your PC's clock?

I do have the app, i use dx11, I did check and sync the clock, I saw that mentioned on another thread. I'm trying a full reset right now, instead of just the repair option
