I do have the app, i use dx11, I did check and sync the clock, I saw that mentioned on another thread. I'm trying a full reset right now, instead of just the repair option

Try removing the app first...  I think the app and DX11 cause it to crash

They did not want 2020 to outshine 2024 so they put in a few CTDs to make it even

Mandatory updates should be illegal. 4 months ago I was in Msfs heaven. Everything perfectcand smooth as butter. Now I can't even start the planes without  major stutters making it impossible to

  • Lately, everytime I update something, scenery, something in the sim, or anything, I cross my fingers the next time I start a flight. Never know what is going to happen. 😡

Credit to the OP, I knew I read it earlier

Okay perfect, I will let you know if it works.

I did not see any update, but maybe that is because I have uninstalled a lot of default stuff to save disk space.

Consider yourself lucky...  I literally can't remember the last time I had a CTD in MSFS.  Got this update last night and sure enough I just had a CTD 13 hours into my flight RIGHT as I was about to start my descent.  What a load of garbage.  I now remember why I despise the forced updates so much

You mentioned before that your performance was affected by the recent update, but anyway you were into a flight that lasted for about 13 hours until you experienced a CTD. Were you flying that long with that horrible performance or were you able to resolve the performance issues before such a long flight?. Do you still continue having CTD's?

Cheers, Ed

Hi Ed,

No sadly during the week I Sim around my work hours so I had Departed by 5:30 this morning did an hour of flying then did 10 hours of calls and every time I checked on the sim I noticed the performance was off but had to get back on another call so couldn't do anything about it.  I have also seen it where performance is horrible and then all of a sudden it's fine again based on server load so I was hoping it would clear up but instead it crashed...

Guess I won’t fire up 2020 for awhile, maybe they will fix, but they are putting 99% of effort now into 2024. 2024 has poisoned the whole flightsim atmosphere.

Anyone having issues with the INI A310? Loading time has increased considerably and when in flight the plane freezes 😔

Paul, maybe as you mention it's something server-related. By the way, do you have a Nvidia card?, which graphics driver are you currently using?. It looks like recent drivers are causing issues to people wanting to use the very latest ones (something it's being mentioned in the post you linked from the official forums, and thanks for that).

Now, if something different is happening after the most MSFS2020 recent aircraft update (yesterday or the day before), I cannot figure out what could be the issue now. It's confusing. Maybe MSFS2024 is spreading the virus.

I don't know if it was server issues or what Ed but after the CTD I went into the official community folder and searched for files by date modified and sure enough there was the Cessna with a date stamp of 3/27 it was the only thing modified so I simply moved it out of my community folder and this morning (which could still be server related) things "seemed" much better...

Graphics were sharper, less stuttering, shadows were crisp again as evident here.  This was my 6am departure today but to be fair it took 13 hours to crash right before descent yesterday so ask me again in ~12 hours LOL
