Immediate game freeze after pressing Start Flight MSFS2024

Featured Replies

So I decided to install msfs2024 day before yesterday. Store version. Been flying with 2020 for 4 years. All went well and was actually able to complete a couple of flights in the A320v2. I then copied and pasted everything that was in my msfs2020 community folder into the msfs2024 community folder. That where everything went south. As soon as I pressed Start flight the game froze and heard that windows "ding" and in another window got a Error: DXGI Unknown(0x887a002b). Says this error could be from a 1. Driver Fault 2.an application bug 3. graphics card overheating 4. graphics card overheating. I have the latest Nvidia driver installed, the card is not overheating or overclocking. Ok, no problem, has to be something in the community folder it didn't like, right? So I emptied the community folder, restarted the game. Even with the community folder empy, the game still freezes accompanied by the error message. I'm at a total loss as to what to do now. Did I screw something up? Thanks for the replies in advance

UPDATE : I did a reinstall of the Nvidia driver, reloaded the game and noticed that Global Rendering was on medium. I didn't change it to that and changed it back to ultra. The game is working properly now. Copied/Pasted my KIAH payware into the 2024 CF, and looks beautiful.

UPDATE 2 : It's gone back to the original problem. At a loss again. Ran Furmark just to make sure the graphics card was ok.

Try moving KIAH out of the community folder. “Older” add-ons, while they sometimes appear to work fine, can cause this kind of problem.

Thanks for the reply. Removed KIAH. Community folder empty. Still does it.
