  1. Ok, that seems to have fixed it. Thanks for the reply!
  2. Ok, I give up. Been trying to figure out why all of a sudden I have mud splatters on the windshield. I've seen a blurb that this is a known bug, but that doesn't make sense to me. What changed? Is it Asobo or is it Fenix. And what do I do specifically to fix it.
  3. Well guys I found the problem. And it was self inflicted. I guess when I removed the GPU one of the contacts was damaged. I also broke the hold down clip as it was coming out. I found the clip in a little corner of the case. So not only did I break the GPU, I probably messed up the motherboard too. Headed to Microcenter for a new rig. Stupid me.
  4. Installed and reinstalled drivers. The MSI Bios did not have anything for the gpu. Only the cpu info was listed. The gpu is listed and working properly in the device manager. Trying to figure out what the simulator is looking at and what is shutting it down so quickly. Just doesn't make sense.
  5. So I reinstalled Call of Duty BlackOps and it also froze when loading. This is not good
  6. So I deleted a file in LocalCache called FlightSimulator2024.CFG I assume thats the one you wanted me to delete. The game then loaded ok and looked to run normally. I then exited out of the game and reloaded. The freeze started happening again.
  7. And yes, guys, the community folder is empty. Just before this started happening, I removed the GPU to access an NVME slot. Is it possible i've somehow damaged the GPU? I ran Furmark for 30 minutes last night and all seemed well
  8. **Can you run Task Manager and see if "Gaming Services" has more than one instance running at the same time. Example ===>>> Gaming Services (2) .... select it and tell it to "End Task"... reboot and restart MSFS 2024** Yes, there are 2 instances of Gaming services running in task manager. I try to end task, but within a few seconds 2 instances start running again.
  9. So I'm totally at a loss here. The game gets stuck on the loading screen where it has the credits to 2024 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved, etc... It's there that it freezes. I've tried all the recommendations on Google, ie: Time and Date settings, looked in a folder called etc., logged off the network, then relogged, Insured current Nvidia driver is in, Uninstalled and reinstalled. Been playing the game for 2 years now with no problems. Haven't played in over 2 weeks. I don't see where they are having any server issues at this time. Any suggestions, or has anyone else reported server issues. Thanks for your replies in advance.
  10. Maybe. Flew into KFLL. First time seeing lightning in a while. Looked pretty cool.
  11. So after the Fenix update a couple of months ago, it now appears we can get somewhat of a weather radar display. I've been seeing the weather areas actually trying to run away from me. Meaning there's no way I could fly directly into one of those area's of heavy precip. I'm currently departing KCHS on VATSIM. Any of the Fenix drivers see this before ?
  12. So what were saying is that MSFS2024 will default to preset weather on load up and I will have to select live weather each and every time, rather than remembering the last session where live weather was used?
  13. So I reinstalled. No help. Here's the error message when it crashes. https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipMaZJ0pFQ-W0dgrZn-ocGd2gSYUJOUxE6gr_o6F Also the game will not save my settings. For example, I'll set my aliasing to TAA, exit the game, then reload. Aliasing is back to the NVIDIA DLss Super Res. Is there something forcing the game to load this way, no matter what I set. I read somewhere that the Nvidia driver loads what it sees as optimum. I'm at a total loss now. Will Microsoft issue me a refund if I want one?
  14. So after a week of troublefree operation, I now am back to where I started 2 weeks ago. I was able to use FSLTL base to fly on VATSIM, FSUIPC installed properly so I could use ACARS flying for my VA. My Blacksquare Taxiways worked fine. Was even able to add on a couple of LatinVFR airports. All of these were in the Community folder and have worked ok for the last week. Logged on this morning to find it needed to update, and it did. Logged back on to fly and it crashed as soon as i pressed start to fly. Also noticed my weather and graphics settings changed. I had all AI traffic turned off, but the update turned AI traffic back on. So I emptied everything out of the community folder, and it still crashes as soon as I press start flight. I ended up having to reinstall the game last week and that seemed to fix the problem. Am I going to have to reinstall again? That's my next step, right? This is so frustrating.
  15. I thought for sure 2024 would fix KMSY. But alas, they did not.
  16. Interesting. So other vatsimmers should see me as United assuming the model match works as you discuss?
  17. I'm flying the Inibuilds A320v2 in 2024. I fly on Vatsim quite frequently. I got FSLTL base models working ok with vatsim, but I want a United livery so the other vatsimmers see me as United. The 2020 liveries do not appear to work. Am I missing something? I just want a United livery that works with the airplane I'm flying.
  18. Thanks for the reply. Removed KIAH. Community folder empty. Still does it.
  19. UPDATE 2 : It's gone back to the original problem. At a loss again. Ran Furmark just to make sure the graphics card was ok.
  20. UPDATE : I did a reinstall of the Nvidia driver, reloaded the game and noticed that Global Rendering was on medium. I didn't change it to that and changed it back to ultra. The game is working properly now. Copied/Pasted my KIAH payware into the 2024 CF, and looks beautiful.
  21. So I decided to install msfs2024 day before yesterday. Store version. Been flying with 2020 for 4 years. All went well and was actually able to complete a couple of flights in the A320v2. I then copied and pasted everything that was in my msfs2020 community folder into the msfs2024 community folder. That where everything went south. As soon as I pressed Start flight the game froze and heard that windows "ding" and in another window got a Error: DXGI Unknown(0x887a002b). Says this error could be from a 1. Driver Fault 2.an application bug 3. graphics card overheating 4. graphics card overheating. I have the latest Nvidia driver installed, the card is not overheating or overclocking. Ok, no problem, has to be something in the community folder it didn't like, right? So I emptied the community folder, restarted the game. Even with the community folder empy, the game still freezes accompanied by the error message. I'm at a total loss as to what to do now. Did I screw something up? Thanks for the replies in advance
  22. Well, I tried changing the character appearance and shift+c still wont get me into the cockpit. Ooops, I found it. Gotta have the 2024 keyboard selected
  23. Let me make sure I understand. I intend to install 2024 on the C drive. So I don't need to worry about changing community folder location, right? And the items that I have in my 2020 community can be simply copied and pasted into the 2024 community folder and all should work, right?
