March 7Mar 7 So I'm totally at a loss here. The game gets stuck on the loading screen where it has the credits to 2024 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved, etc... It's there that it freezes. I've tried all the recommendations on Google, ie: Time and Date settings, looked in a folder called etc., logged off the network, then relogged, Insured current Nvidia driver is in, Uninstalled and reinstalled. Been playing the game for 2 years now with no problems. Haven't played in over 2 weeks. I don't see where they are having any server issues at this time. Any suggestions, or has anyone else reported server issues. Thanks for your replies in advance. i9-14900 3.2GHz 64 GB Ram RTX4090

And if MSFS doesn't load, you should have been offered an option to run it in safe mode. If you weren't offered the option to run MSFS in safe mode, you may want to look up how to force MSFS into safe mode. Edited March 8Mar 8 by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I try to end task, but within a few seconds 2 instances start running again. i9-14900 3.2GHz 64 GB Ram RTX4090
March 8Mar 8 Author And yes, guys, the community folder is empty. Just before this started happening, I removed the GPU to access an NVME slot. Is it possible i've somehow damaged the GPU? I ran Furmark for 30 minutes last night and all seemed well i9-14900 3.2GHz 64 GB Ram RTX4090
March 8Mar 8 Make a copy of your user.cfg and then delete it from system. Then start 2024 again and let it build another one. So I deleted a file in LocalCache called FlightSimulator2024.CFG I assume thats the one you wanted me to delete. The game then loaded ok and looked to run normally. I then exited out of the game and reloaded. The freeze started happening again. i9-14900 3.2GHz 64 GB Ram RTX4090

It can be hardware related, since you removed your graphics card and when you reinserted it, something changed. Can you run other 3D games? If you have other games, try running them as well. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
March 8Mar 8 Author So I reinstalled Call of Duty BlackOps and it also froze when loading. This is not good i9-14900 3.2GHz 64 GB Ram RTX4090

This is not good Can you uninstall your Nvidia drivers, shut down computer, reseat Video card, boot into BIOS and check if BIOS see your installed video card and it's selected as the one you want to use and not the onboard video if it's built into motherboard. Then boot back into windows, it should load the default Nvidia drivers. Try starting 2024 again, if it loads okay, then update your drivers again with the latest nvidia WHOL driver set. when loading select advance options and choose to remove all older drivers before install. reboot computer and try 2024 again.
