Then boot back into windows, it should load the default Nvidia drivers. Try starting 2024 again, if it loads okay, then update your drivers again with the latest nvidia WHOL driver set. when loading select advance options and choose to remove all older drivers before install. reboot computer and try 2024 again. Installed and reinstalled drivers. The MSI Bios did not have anything for the gpu. Only the cpu info was listed. The gpu is listed and working properly in the device manager. Trying to figure out what the simulator is looking at and what is shutting it down so quickly. Just doesn't make sense. i9-14900 3.2GHz 64 GB Ram RTX4090
March 9Mar 9 Just to dot i's and cross t's, since the problem seems to have started when you uninstalled/reinstalled your 4090, have you double checked that all your card's power connectors are secure and fully pushed in, both at the card and power supply ends? I ask because my 3080 did the same thing, and it turned out one of the power cables connecting had worked loose, not enough to pop right out of the socket on the card, but enough not to make contact. So there was enough power getting through for the card to turn on and do mundane tasks, like display web surfing, but not enough power to run a demanding game. Just a thought. March 10Mar 10 Author Well guys I found the problem. And it was self inflicted. I guess when I removed the GPU one of the contacts was damaged. I also broke the hold down clip as it was coming out. I found the clip in a little corner of the case. So not only did I break the GPU, I probably messed up the motherboard too. Headed to Microcenter for a new rig. Stupid me. i9-14900 3.2GHz 64 GB Ram RTX4090
March 11Mar 11 Yeah, you got be careful installing computer parts if you're a DYI. I would also recommend wearing an anti-static strap when handling the motherboard and GPU.
