Things getting in the way of flying!

Featured Replies

I was able to remove the chocks, remove the pitot cover, remove the engine inlet covers but this tie down bungee cord has me baffled.

This kind of thing happens on many aircraft at seemingly random times.  Most of the time I can walk around and remove chocks, covers, etc but sometimes what worked one day does not work the next day.

Yesterday I could not remove the engine inlet covers on the C172 - no matter how careful I was.  I knew the magic spot to hit because I had removed them many times in past sessions.  But, I had to change aircraft because I could not free the engine inlet.

Today - I tried to fly the Cirrus SR22T from cold and dark.  Could not find a way to remove the sun cover over the cockpit.  And, clicking on the touch spot ( a little hand appeared) of the engine covers caused the passenger door to swing open but did not remove the inlet covers.

When will these annoyances be resolved or when will we get documentation for EACH aircraft telling us how to operate the walkaround stuff.  I know it can be done correctly because the A2A Comanche is my favorite plane to fly and I never have a problem in that complicated walk around.

If your not familiar, you can always use dev mode to remove the chocks and such. Dev-Debug-Aircraft-Chocks and Covers.

and if you can't find it, the keyboard command is either X or Z. I can't ever remember which one.
