Static Aircraft With Payware

Featured Replies

For FS2020:

Is there any reason why developers continue putting static aircraft on the tarmac with payware airports?  We have multiple ways to include static aircraft ourselves if we want it. Designers need not do this anymore unless there's still a good reason for it.  Now, I constantly start an airline flight at a gate but I have some aircraft parked on top of me. It takes several attempts having to reboot the flight sometimes to find an open space. FSLTL and live traffic are constantly popping up new aircraft in empty parking slots, and airports with static aircraft make it even worse. Please stop including static aircraft in payware scenery. I don't think we need it anymore unless someone can enlighten me as to why we still do.

This! It's 2024...and the statics usually look atrocious anyway. I wish they'd spend the saved time on making sure their airport layout is working so AI traffic can use it and doesn't get stuck everywhere...

Yes. Agreed.

I totally agree with this - I have bought some sceneries on marketplace (I don't use marketplace anymore primarily for this) in which there is no way you can remove static aircraft, not only they reduce performance but the actual modelling is also horrible which does not look great either. Plus if you fly on online networks like Vatsim/IVAO then you don't have all stands available to you which is is not ideal as ATC might assign you stand that is currently occupied by static aircraft.

I really think developers should rather work on airport layout (taxiways/aprons/terminals) then static aircraft.
