MSFS2020 Updated BATC with Traffic in VR is excellent

Featured Replies

Hi

I have to say that the latest update of BATC with the added live Traffic works splendidly well.  What I particularly like is that the integration of the live traffic is so well integrated.  On the flight below, a 'real-world' Easyjet flight is asked to hold short of the runway until I was clear.

I have the basic version and so, yes, there are some interesting accents from time to time but not that intrusive to lead me to upgrade to Premium.  Also - while I am learning the terminology - I have the panel open.  A few more weeks and I'll give it a go 'blind'.

Splendid addition to a splendid program.  Here's a short extract - I had to smile when, at the end of the clip, I spotted the Easyjet aircraft again below me on the same SID but lower altitude:

In the real world, that Easyjet flight would have more than likely been given line up instructions right behind you before you even started your takeoff roll. Personally I've only had the program myself for a few days now, but it seems overly wordy and I have noticed that the traffic isn't live. I'm not sure how old it is based on.

I'm sure you are right - and there's the small detail of being told I could take off when another airliner was clearly on its finals (although, maybe a multiplayer?  Shouldn't have been an AI as I'd made sure that was turned off) 🙂

Yes - I'm sure it's not perfect...but it is another pleasing step forward.

It would all depend on how far out the one on final was, there may even have been time to get the EZY flight out as well. Runway separation is easy enough, it's having a plan in the event that the one on final has to go around with you climbing out significantly slower in front.
