January 4, 20251 yr I would think that a lot of people in here are the same type of simmers (Fenix / Airliners). I am just curious as to what you airline simmers feel are the best combination of sim settings and Nvidia settings for a good representation of visuals from an airline perspective as well as performance of allowing a realistic flyable flight. I am guessing that GA pilots that fly low will want things like grass, trees, etc. turned up where those don't really matter to airliners. I figured I'd check to see if anyone has a sweet spot for the Fenix / Airliners. I tried going to 300 on my TLOD and in the last 2 days got a CTD on the Arrival into LAX (thought it might be because II had INIBuilds in there) and got another one today into LGA. My PC specs are below. I know this is also a subjective question with lots of variables but i thought I would see what people have found. Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 64GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
January 4, 20251 yr i have the same specs as you pretty much, but newer cpu. a lot of the my main airports are payware, i get 38FPS @ inibuilds EGLL heathrow with beyondatc traffic injection and fsltl base models, GSX pro, bijans seasons, active sky and vRAAS. i use msfs2024_autofps, with TLOD 33 base / 300 top. OLOD 195 base / 50 top. lock my FPS @ 40 FPS with rivatuner. nvidia control panel settings for msfs24 are... anisotropic filtering 16x low latency on monitor g-sync power management normal all other settings default. looks great and flies smoothly.as for in game graphics settings... resolution 2560x1440 terrain pre caching ULTRA buildings HIGH trees HIGH plants\rocks MEDIUM grass HIGH vol clouds ULTRA texture resolution ULTRA texture supersampling 8x8 water waves MEDIUM raytraced shadows ON shadow maps 1536 terrain shadows 1024 contact shadows HIGH windshield effects HIGH ambient occl HIGH cubemap 256 raymarch HIGH DOF \ motion blur OFF air traffic OFF road traffic ULTRA sea traffic LOW fauna OFF hopefully this all gives you a base to start from and tweak it from there. Do you have anistropic to off in the sim?
