Hi,
I have an AM4 mobo and I have just upgraded the Graphic card with a rx 7800XT. I get better fps, but the gpu is at aroudn 40% while the cpu shows around 50%, 4300 Mhz (ryzen 7 3700x) and all 8 core are at about 30-40%. FPS is around 25...
According to chatgpt, if it's right, even if the cpu cores are not showing more than 30-40% the cpu is the bottleneck (I get a red Main Thread Limitation in dev mode while playing).

In this case which cpu to choose ? The 5900X, the 5700xd3, the 5800xd3 (this one is hardly available and possibily much more expensive than the 5700xd3).

Any advice ?

Thanks !

In the meantime I have found this : https://en.gamegpu.com/racing-simulators-/-race/microsoft-flight-simulator-2024-test-gpu-cpu

It looks very interesting, but unfortunately the cpu test is only with one resolution 1920x1080.

Are you saying that the resolution isn't low enough to properly stress the CPU?

According to this test, there is no differences in fps if I take a more powerfull processor. In other words, the ryzen 7 3700 is powerfull enough, the GPU is the limitation. Interesting to note that fs 2024 is different from fs 2020 and the XD version does not have a large impact.
