January 7, 20251 yr I am using MSFS 2024 and can't figure out how to control the weather. I want to use Real Weather settings and this seems to work pretty good except for snow. I live in central Pennsylvania, and we had a snow storm a couple of days ago but in the sim there is no snow on the ground. I remember seeing a trailer for the sim a couple of years ago and it showed a plane flying down over New York city and it was snowing, and the snow was building up on the ground. Using the real weather setting and it is raining for real, I see the rain in the sim. If it is clear I see that in the sim. The weather generator seems to be working pretty close to the real world conditions except there is no snow on the ground when there should be. Any suggestions? Thanks

January 8, 20251 yr Just landed at Sydney Intl in the Bonanza (MSFS2024 historical weather). Was planning to land at the GA airport of Bankstown, but needed a precision approach due to horrendous weather. I could not see the runway 2nm away. Wind strength, direction and pressure seemed accurate. A very nice and smooth transition from (relatively) fair weather further south. I started at Moorabbin in Melbourne. METAR: "I made it down safely" (but obviously should not have exited the aircraft on an active runway) screenshot: (I might have ruined my Louis Vuitton Manhattan Richelieu shoes there. Oh well, it was probably worth it). Edited January 8, 20251 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
