Anybody can help me with chart?

Featured Replies

Last time i asked here, i got nice respons and i got people helping me on discord.

now i've learned to land with ils, making flight plan from simbrief and navigraph.<
The thing i wanna learn now is about the charts, how they work.
The youtube videos ive watched are good, but still very confused and again i learn easier by being with someone asking them questions.

Example

Here is a path thats abit different then what ive used

This is what i dont understand, I do use beyond atc, and it guided me all the way until atc said "N251SB, 5 MILES FROM IBI90, turn right, heading 105, maintain 2,500 until established cleared ils 15."

But then when i saw on the map i was extremely far off and no were close to land.

If anybody could go through the charts with me and make me understand it more id be happy, my discord tag is sirius9500.

I got no problem understanding most of this now, its just the chart im not able to follow 🙂

Not sure but I think the problem is with beyondatc, there's no IB190 fix on the chart that I can see?

BATC at times isn't particularly great with vectoring, but other times its just people not really understanding the terminology. IBI90 is a valid fix at which point you make a right turn to capture the localiser. it's shorthand for 9DME from IBIR.

I think what's useful to know is, when it gave you this instruction, where were you?

After GROVE, there is no transition so you can expect vectors. So usually you'd expect to be given a heading towards IBI90 (Skipping the teardrop maneuver over EGBB) at which point the atc instruction to turn right, make sense. You turn right 105 and intercept the localiser. However, I'm just assuming here. Another option is to flyover EGBB and fly outbound 317 from IBIR.

It really depends on where you were when you were given this instruction and possibly what was the previous instruction.
