February 14, 20251 yr I’m not building a home cockpit but am buying numerous airbus hardware to enhance the experience. Want to purchase 2 14” screens for the four main panels. I experimented with popping out panels and even the tiny backup ADI dropped my Framerate from a solid 60 FPS with no stutters to an unflyable 17 FPS. Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a solution? Cockpit builders are bound to know how to put panels on separate screens without destroying performance. Many thanks. Don
February 14, 20251 yr It is your rather dated hardware that is the cause of your stutters. I am running a 4k monitor with 2 additional 19" inch monitors for pop out instruments (Fenix Airbus) and it runs fine.... if the PC in your signature is your current setup. I have a 2 year old system running a RTX 4080, so not the latest and greatest either....
February 15, 20251 yr Author Well that’s good to hear. At least I know it can be done. I need to update my build information! I’m running a Ryzen 7950X3D with 64gigs RAM and an RTX3090. I suppose the 3090 is my issue. If I can ever find a 5090 at msrp, perhaps I can resolve it. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond🙂

Hi, I have the exact symptoms as Wrap23, and my setup is running a 3080. It didn't have any issues at all, with 4 pop-outs...always running at least 60+. Just recently....after a nvidia driver backdate to correct some other issues....my other issues were corrected, and the pop-out problems now occur. I don't think it's a 'dated hardware issue' in my case.........more likely Nvidia drivers...the latest drivers concentrating mainly on 50 Series GPU's.
