February 27, 20251 yr I'm no Egyptologist, or even a competent amateur, but this is what I glean from books and online: It's the 18th dynasty. If Israel was in Egypt and the book of Exodus is based on facts, there's the best chance it all went down in the 18th dynasty. Just before we have Canaanites ruling in Egypt, (the Hyksos Pharaohs). We see the first record of a belief in one all powerful God, instead of many fighting weak Gods (Ahmoses I, first Pharaoh of 18th dynasty) . We see a daughter of Pharaoh (Hatsheput) raise a non royal to greatness granting him over 60 titles (too many duties for one man to actually perform) who falls out of the Egyptian records completely 40 years later and was not buried in his prepared tomb. This daughter becomes Pharaoh herself. Paralleling the story of Moses in Exodus. We see an era where the Pharaohs often had names ending in Moses. Hatsheput's gigantic mortuary temple is probably the most impressive structure in Egypt today outside of the pyramids (Del El Bahari). The tomb of Hatsheput's husband (Pharaoh Tutmoses II) was found in 2022 and the best proof it was indeed his was found this year 2025 as announced by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiques. The archaeologist whose expedition found it said the burial tomb is not that one but another one buried in rubble deliberately. (In other words he had two tombs, one hidden). Next month that rubble will be gone. Usually these anticipations of impending discovery come up empty. In 1922 Carter had good reason to believe another Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty was also covered in rubble which explained why it wasn't found earlier. He came up golden. Tut's tomb treasures removed over the next few years gained more front page newspaper coverage than any of the 20th century except for the two world wars. Tut's father was Akhenaten, the Pharaoh who made the worship of one God official and moved the centuries old capital of Egypt to a new city that he had built. Tut's great grandfather was Amenhotop III who reigned for a very long time and during the period of greatest height of Egypt's power, before or since. All this in the 18th dynasty. As I said above, these anticipated wonderful discoveries usually come up empty. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
