Unable to install FSX SP2

Featured Replies

My 'venerable' P4, 3.06 based system recently hiccoughed and died and I've had to replace it with an Intel Quad 6600 @ 2.4G, nVidia 9600 GT 512, 4G RAM. OS= Win XP SP3System runs FSX fine, but I cannot get FSX SP2 or DX10 to install. Anyone have a suggestion as to why? Thanks,Ed GreenKCLT

Well, DX10 is only available with Vista. But SP2 should install provided you have installed SP1.Cheers,Noel.

Not sure how the installation order goes, but have you tried installing SP1, then SP2?

Exactly, SP1 is currently installed and seems to be functioning, but when I attempt to install SP2, it gets part way, then rolls back, saying that it didn't install, and that nothing was modified. The current install that I am using is a fresh install on a new hard drive.Ed GreenKCLT
