Hello,

I am trying to get the WebApi function working in AAO.  However, on the Tools > WebAPI Config menu I am unable to put a checkmark next to StreamDeck plugin.

I have tried everything in the troubleshooting guide, in fact I think I can recite it from memory.  What am I doing wrong, I can't get conencted to the WebAPI.

This checkbox is not there to be checked. It is just a feature of the dialog, you select the items with this checkbox where you want to change Port or IP with the buttons below. That's it. These checkboxes do not indiciate that something is active, turned on or off or anything.

Ports look fine on that dialog, there is nothing to do for you there. Make sure that AAO is always started with the "Run as administrator" option. There is nothing else to configure, to turn on or off or anything.
The only things that can interfere with the WebAPI are your firewall and your anitvirus. But that kind of interference cannot be solved from within the AAO app.

The question is, what does "I am trying to get the WebApi function working in AAO. " mean? Why do you think that it is not working, what do you expect it to do where?

As it says in the manual, ports for an AAO addon can only be changed when that addon is not running at the moment. You have to shut down the StreamDeck software completely (using the StreamDeck icons' context menu in the system tray) if you want to change the port for the plugin. But looking at your screenshot, changing the port is not necessary.

Thanks for the reply.  I have tried http://192.168.4.76:43380 and the connection is refused.  I tried localhost with the same results.  I even tried several AI apps to help trouble shoot and they all cam up with some version of "Make sure MSFS24 is running" or "AAO is not running".

Re-reading the documentation for the 100th time...

I turned off my Windows 11 firewall.  No antivirus to worry about.

What does that mean? What exactly are you trying how where?  What do you need the WebAPI for?

1. AAO must be started with the "Run as Administrator" option that you get when you right-click on the app icon. 
2. Then, when you are connected to the sim, the two little green LEDs on the bottom right of the main AAO dialog will light up.
3. When you hover the mouse over these two LEDs, you will get a tool tipp saying that the WebAPI is listening on a certain port.

That is the AAO WebAPI done. 

(1. means that you cannot have AAO start automatically with the sim just like that, because MSFS is usually not running with administrator rights. You have to make sure that either MSFS itself is also started "As Administrator" or start AAO first and have the app start the sim or use the Windows scheduler to start AAO as admin)
