March 21, 20251 yr This is a video of an update meeting of my local airport's board meeting to discuss planning and progress on a significant modernization project. The project relocates Rwy 04/22 by shifting it 900 ft southwest on its vector and adding 1,000 ft to the runway length at the southwest end. That will bring 04/22 length out to 6,400 ft. Fascinating all of the elements that come into play, including FAA planning and includes details about removal and reclamation from a now abandoned factory facility. You can skip that portion of the update if you move forward to around the 10:00 mark in the video. Quite a number of aviation concepts and airport design criteria come under discussion.
