Caranado C182Q ADF not working

Featured Replies

Can't get the ADF to work, all seems normal, I can tune in a frequency, and hear the morse code ident (very faintly), but the needle doesn't point anywhere sensible, just seems to wonder around. Also when I put a non functioning frequency in, I'd expect the needle to assume its resting position, with the needle pointing to 090 bearing, but it's still slowly meandering around.

Might just be my system, anyone got the 2020 store edition ADF working normally?

I have the 182Q for 2020 and 2024. In 2024 the ADF seems to be working correctly, but in 2020 I get the same results as you are getting. I have a full C182 cockpit with an ADF gauge. On my full cockpit panel, the ADF gauge reacts properly in both sims. Seems the logic is there, it's just not showing properly in the FS2020 sim panel, but it is indicating properly on my full panel.

Thanks very much for you're input - interesting!

I tried an App called Air Manager, which I used to use on an iPad, that loads the flight instruments onto an iPad via Wi-Fi, and the ADF worked fine! I guess the Sim is pushing out the correct information, but for whatever reason the Caranado C182Q isn't processing it correctly,

I'll send them a support request, but I'm not very optimistic.

Thanks for your help, it put me on the right track, at least it's not my set-up.

I also opened a ticket with them last night
