I believe its hit and miss, I had the 5060TI 16gig and the drivers bricked the card as soon as they updated. sent it back for refund, when the smoke clears, will maybe contemplate getting another 50 series card. of course,

Your mileage may vary...

Google, It is affecting alot of people. Invidia is trying to fix the issue. so i am not alone.

I've only had it for a few weeks and have had no issues. It runs cool and quiet. A new driver became available yesterday, and it is working fine.

Nice looking forward to getting my 5080 especially as i run on 4k

Yeah, I just moved to 2K from the 1080P I used with my old 3080. For 2K, the 5070 Ti is a good match for me. The 5080 will be great for 4K.

Many reviewers are knocking the 5000 series because it isn't a big enough of a generational upgrade from the 4000 series, and that may be true. For me, coming from a 3080, it's a nice upgrade.

Have fun with that 5080!

I got the msi ventus 3x oc plus only one i could get my hands on

Coming from a 3080ti suprim x , what a difference in size thou lol tbe ventus is smaller.

Would you say it makes a difference with each model?

You mean size difference? Each brand/model varies in size. Because of my case, I had to keep mine down to under 290 mm in length. The MSI Inspire I put in was 288 mm, so it just made it. Is that what you are asking?

Yes correct.

Actually sold.it.lol.

And for 100 bucks more i got a 5080 gigabyte oc

Massive lol and nice and cool amd has a little more power 😊

Thou im not sure how to use the fan  control curve.

I know the fans dont spin intil certain temp.

Thou i would like them to still spin on low rpm at idle.

Do you have a curve that you can share please?

Thanks

Mike

I'm sorry - I just leave the fans alone. I've always done that, and I never have had a problem. I know that the brand of my 5070 Ti (MSI) has a free program called Afterburner that lets you play with stuff like that. It works on all cards, so maybe you can try that?

Yeah i downloaded the gigabyte oc control for fans.

And working well.

Curious to ask ,.are you running frame gen? With autofps?

Flying airliners in big Airports?

If so what is your vram?

Thanks

Mike

I use frame gen within the same, and no auto fps. I fly mid size bizjets and turbos into all size of airports. VRAM takes a hit at the beginning and end of a flight. It did that when I had 10 GB, and now that I have 16 GB. This is something Asobo needs to fix as most are getting this even with SU2.
