I flew for the last time on P3D v4.3! I've read a bit the news and would need your help:

1) I plan to buy FS2024 on Steam: any NOGO? The vast majority of addons are compatible with Steam? I'll play only on PC, not XBOX

2) I plan to buy the PDMG 777-200ER for FS2024 from the PMDG Store: I believe it will install flawlessly for the FS Steam version?

3) Flight Planning: I have PFPX and TOPCAT. I understand that the way to go is Simbrief/Navigraph and the flight plans are automatically downloaded into the 200-ER tablet. Correct?

4) I like the view utility ChasePlane. I read that the 2024 NATIVE version is currently in development. Does the version for FS2020 is supported in FS2024?

5) Any new must-have utility I should be aware of?

1) In the history of MSFS, Steam has caused less problems for people. If you will never get an XBox, then Steam is probably the better idea.

2) Yes, the PMDG 777 should work for MSFS 2024.  MSFS 2024 is currently on Sim Update 2 (SU2) and the PMDG 777 works fine in SU2. There is a beta for SU3, but it's optional if you want to opt into the beta. Some people are complaining that the PMDG 777 is having issues in SU3. Having said that, probably by the time that SU3 is officially released (at least a month, is my guess), the problems should be fixed for the PMDG 777 for MSFS 2024.

5) If you get MSFS 2024, it's recommended to get Add-On Linker from flightsim.to, to manage your add-ons. In MSFS 2024, there is something called the Community Folder, where you store your add-ons so that MSFS 2024 can read them.  From time to time, people have complained that the Community Folder has been wiped when they get the latest patch for MSFS 2024.  If you use Add-On linker, you don't store your add-ons in the Community Folder, you store them outside the MSFS 2024 folder hierarchy, and Add-On Linker creates symbolic folder links in the Community Folder instead for MSFS 2024 to read. So with Add-On Linker, you can easily restore and remove add-ons from the Community Folder with a click of a button, and you will never stress out if your Community Folder is ever accidentally wiped.
