in W10 - settings - devices and printers - select a controller - rightclick - select game controller settings - select controller - properties.  Should be similar in W11

or type Set up USB game controllers in windows search bar

That's right, I have tried that but it didn't work. I also tried toggling between modern and legacy... that also did not work :(. Forgot to mention it does work in MSFS2024. So I am stumped for the first time in my life of flight simming...

Really puzzling. Problem occurs with no devices of any kind attached so it is either a usb port glitch or some obscure setting in MSFS. Double check your task manager to see if ANYTHING sim or port related is running in BG.

A controls lock in an aircraft could do that IRL but I am not aware of a general control lock in the sim.

Me either . Think I'll wait till they fix that shut down problem and see if that has anything to do with it. Seems that is when all these problems started. thanks for the help tho.🙂
